Dr. Chelsea Schwind

Dr. Chelsea Schwind is a Tennessee native, growing up in Northwest Tennessee and now residing in the Chattanooga area. She attended the University of Tennessee at Martin for her undergraduate studies, graduating summa cum laude and receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. After college, she attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis, Tennessee where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Through volunteering with the children’s department at her church and pediatric community outreach opportunities in dental school, Dr. Chelsea quickly realized her love for children. Her passion for dentistry, children, and East Tennessee led Dr. Chelsea to move with her husband and kids to Chattanooga. Shortly after moving to Chattanooga, Dr. Chelsea purchased Hixson Dental Center and founded Chew Chew Dentistry. Dr. Chelsea is a member of the Chattanooga Area Dental Society and Tennessee Dental Association.

Dr. Chelsea and her husband, Billy, reside in Chattanooga with their two boys, Will and Sawyer. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, going to baseball games (Go Cardinals!), watching movies, and playing with her kids and their pets. Fun fact: Dr. Chelsea and her family have 6 pets: two dogs (Bonnie and Oscar) and 4 cats (Sam, Sophie, Ernest, and Belle).
